Choose the right image file format
JPG is widely supported and well suited to photos. PNG works well for graphics or images requiring transparency, while WebP offers efficient compression in modern browsers.
Format conversion does not restore details lost in the source file. In particular, exporting a transparent PNG to JPG removes transparency because JPEG has no alpha channel.
Each tool has its own instructions and limitations. Check the output before using it in a professional project.
